CALDO is a group of local agency representatives and community members who seek to improve and support the Orange County Hispanic/Latino population's access to quality services through interagency awareness, identification of needs, and advocacy for effective solutions.

CALDO members meet once a month to share information and update the community about services and upcoming events for the Hispanic/Latino community in
Orange County.

CALDO committees also work to address specific needs of the community, including:

• The creation of El Centro Latino- A community resource center located in Carrboro, NC.
  
• Push for the expansion of county services for Latino families into the northern part of the county
  
• Organize a workshop for local businesses on immigration law
  
• Organizing workshops and bringing speakers to discuss issues affecting the Latino community such as employment, transportation and bi-lingual service provision
